The course is neatly structured for us to start with the ideation stage (Design and Innovation), move to customer discovery (Lean Launchpad), build a prototype (Foundations of Mobile Networks) and ultimately bring it all together and build the product (Entrepreneurship Capstone). This lets us go through the entire lifecycle of a startup inside a cocoon and make mistakes as fast as we can.

Hongtao Liu, Class of 2020
As someone without a background in tech but with managerial experience, I felt a pure MS-CS would be too technical for me, and an MBA lacked the technical know-how I was searching for. The MS-CEI program allowed me to get perfect balance of business, entrepreneurial and technical skills I needed to pivot my career towards the tech industry. Beyond that, my team and I are taking full advantage of the program and NYU's incredible resources to launch our own Startup!
Manuel Lombardero Botey, Class of 2020
The MS-CEI offers a unique experience bridging business courses with Tech MBAs at Stern and computer science courses with MS CS students at Courant. This accelerated one year masters program is in equal parts challenging and rewarding, and results in the creation of well-balanced business and technology leaders who seek to boldly create.
Nivedita Ganesh, Class of 2020
Being in early stage startups throughout my professional life, I was looking for a way to see the other side of the table through the lens of a founder. From my experience of trying to start a business in my undergrad program, I was aware that I needed a strong network and personal skills to launch a successful business. The bouquet of courses offered by the MS-CEI program across business, product and tech along with the strong focus on entrepreneurship was the perfect match for me.
Projjol Banerji, Class of 2020
Before becoming an entrepreneur, I was always considered a technical resource, and while it gave me a lot of experience, it lacked the business knowledge required to grow a business. Nevertheless, I felt that my technical knowledge gives me the advantage I needed in the industry and that is the main reason why I felt that a traditional MBA was not enough for me.
After leading projects on IT and Software Consulting, I realized that my technical knowledge gave me an additional edge to stay ahead and guarantee success on each one of the projects, which is why the MS-CEI was the perfect fit for me, with the right balance of business and technology classes to help me start new ventures and grow a business.
Sandra Flechas, Class of 2020
I choose this program because it aims to cultivate student entrepreneurship and help students turn ideas into business realities. This program has both MBA courses and computer science courses which match my expectations well, and it has already helped me to advance through the early stages of tech entrepreneurship
Eagle Tong, Class of 2019
My experience at NYU, and particularly in the MS-CEI program has been amazing! The program was both challenging and supportive. Through this experience, I not only obtained knowledge in entrepreneurship methodology, but also was provided with best opportunities to expand my skill-set to build a startup.
Doyeon Kong, Class of 2019
On the business side of stating a startup, the MS-CEI program has given us a chance to learn essential skills in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship at the Stern School of Business. I had a background in engineering with little to no experience in business and these Stern courses, taken over the summer, were not only beneficial and applicable to my startup, but it has also taught me skills which will be useful later on. From learning how to be a great leader in the Leadership class to planning out a course of actions to occupy the market in the Strategy class. Overall, this program is the perfect blend for anyone looking to start a startup, whether you are new to this or you are an experienced entrepreneur.
