CSS for Layout
Summary:
In this assignment, you have the opportunity to build an additional external style sheet ( a .CSS file) or modify your current one for use with CSS for page layout to complement your Author site (project #1).
Steps:
Here is a list of technical elements to include in your .css document:
- Create at least three additional and original layout objects ("ID Selectors" - which are prefaced with a "#" ) and styles to use with them to define your page layout (e.g. two columns; a header; a footer; a menu-bar, etc.)
- Create at least two or three "pseudo classes" such as HTML selectors which are modified for a specific layout object (e.g. define the "h3" tag in different colors for both a header and footer div )
What to submit:
Upload your files (images, .css files, HTML files) with software from ITS or directly from Fetch , Fugu or winscpor another SFTP client to the i6.cims.nyu.edu UNIX server. Your files should go in the directory (i.e., sub-folder) called public_html on the UNIX server. Test your files using Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer again once they are on the web server.
Send the URL to your site by email to both instructors.
