We know that the 2-color Ramsey number R(n,n) has the property that sqrt(2) <= lim inf R(n,n)^(1/n) <= lim sup R(n,n)^(1/n) <= 4. It is not known if the limit exists. But, is it even known that one of the outer two inequalities must be strict? — JS Sent from my iPhone
