After a successful pre-opening yesterday with a show of the musician and
former minister of culture Gilberto Gil

the First World Congress of the Brazilian Academy of Philosophy will start
this Sunday, December 8 in Rio de Janeiro, with CREATIVITY as main topic.
There will be 40 invited speakers coming from all over the world, 16
workshops and many contributing speakers.
There also will be the projection of the movie SPIRIT OF CONTRADICTION on
the life and work of the Brazilian logician Newton da Costa, to whom this
event is dedicated for his 90th birthday:
