[FOM] Mendelson's missing appendix on the consistency of PA

I agree that the first edition of Mendelson's text was the best.
I studied it closely as an undergraduate.  Later on, I taught
from later editions, but although they contained some interesting
new material such as nonstandard analysis, I still think that
the first edition was superior.

Mendelson is still a member of the ASL, so why don't you ask
him directly?
