DOSKEY is the name of the feature of Command Prompt Window which allows you to recall previous commands, edit them and re-issue them. This is a great time saving device! Using the Up and Down Arrows, you can scroll to past commands that you have type. Using the Left and Right Arrows, in combination with backspace to delete and typing keys to insert, you can edit any command. When satisfied with editing, hit ENTER to execute that command that you just composed. If DOSKEY is not enabled in your system, then put the line "DOSKEY" into your autoexec.bat file. Type "help doskey" at the command prompt for more information and options.
