Dear Dennis,

I just took a look at the PC and I managed to fix the Exceed installation. Now
you should be able to go to Start->Programs->Hummingbird Connectivity->Exceed
and select "Exceed" to start the local X server. Then you can use putty, using
 X forwarding to localhost - I believe the setting for this is under ssh->X11
in the left hand putty menu.

Please let us know if you still have trouble getting this to work.
