We will arrange the appropriate lecture halls for the lectures and informal meeting places, headquarters for mail and email, secretarial services, and access to all appropriate facilities and resources, for the participants during the conference. A ll participants will stay at McConnell Hall in single rooms. This dorm has been built very recently and is located at 1705 West Sycamore, at the intersection of Avenue C and Sycamore (940-565-4955). Starting from May 26, 2002 its front desk will be open 24 hours a day for the participants. Each room has its own bathroom and shower, a bath tub, and a phone. Single rooms cost about $30 a night. This does not include the food. Participants will be able to get their meals at the dining facilities at the student union, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. or try one of the local restaurants.

The University of North Texas in Denton is the largest and oldest public university in the area and is known for its music school, particularly the jazz program. Denton is about a 40-minute drive from both downtown Dallas and downtown Fort Worth an d about a 30-minute drive from DFW airport. All the major US airlines and many international airlines fly to DFW. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, with all the cultural opportunities and diversity one would expect in a major metropolitan area is a s hort drive away.
