All of the machines listed on this page are remotely accessible (by going through access.cims.nyu.edu).
You can choose any machine from the following list; your home directory and files will "be there." In fact, it would be good to choose arbitrarily; the "randomization" will help to smooth load. If your chosen machine feels slow, choose another one! (There might be many of you on the same machine.) You can use the who command (not to be confused with whois or even The Who) to see how many users are logged on to a given machine.
