The first thing I did upon coming to the US and New York area was to look for an improv group. I had played some in France and I thought it would be a great way to meet "indigenous" people and make good friends. Improv has indeed this wonderful property of helping you empathize with both your teammates and the audience, through humor, shared laughs and emotions. So I contacted John Swist and started taking classes at QuickThinking! Improv, at Cap 21 Studios in New York. I had a wonderful for over 3 years.
John welcomed me and made me, like many others, feel at home thanks to his human qualities. He gives an equal importance to complete beginners or veterans, inspires confidence, and maintains a high level of energy and a very high standard of improv. His improv classes enable students not only to have fun, but also to learn a lot about theatre, team-play and social interactions. Just see for yourself at the photos and movies taken during our shows and "rehearsals"...
