Brief Biographical Sketch
I am currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the
Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York
University. Orignially from the UK, I did my undergraduate degree
in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cambridge. I then did a
Masters in Electrical Engineering with Prof. Pietro Perona at
Caltech, before completing a PhD with Prof. Andrew Zisserman at the University of
Oxford. Before coming to NYU, I spend two years as a post-doc in
the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) at
MIT, working with Prof. William Freeman. In 2003, my co-authors and I were
awarded the CVPR Best Paper Prize. In 2005, my PhD thesis
won the prize for the best Computer Science thesis in the UK.
