FOM server - move to Gent from NYU planned

Dear FOM subscribers,

A few updates on the FOM transition to the Gent servers.

(1) We hope the transition will occur by Wednesday (in the US)

(2) The FOM archives will remain available. However, there was no easy way
to create a unified set of archives, so the older NYU-based archives will
be separate from the new Gent-based archives.

(3) If you post to FOM in the meantime, you will receive an error message
from the Sympa Gent server about the distribution failing. You can ignore
this error message: your post will instead be distributed via the NYU-based
FOM list.

I will email once the transition has started with more information on
accessing the new Gent-based FOM system. Again, the only required action
for subscribers will be to start posting to the new to-be-announced email
address. To avoid loss of postings, the "fom at cs.nyu.edu" address will
forward postings to the Gent server for an indefinite period.

Thank you, Sam
