I strongly suspect that the number of results doesn't mean what one might 
naively think it means, because Google's search algorithm is so 
ridiculously complicated.  Therefore I would be very cautious about 
drawing any conclusions from such data.

But if you cannot resist compiling such numbers, you may get marginally 
more meaningful results by going to one of the following sites:

scholar.google.com
books.google.com/ngrams
