Post-doc stay at Nicolaus Copernicus University (Torun, Poland)

Dear All (please spread the message to anyone who can be interested),

There is a possibility of a 3- or 6-month long stay at the Department  
of Logic of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland). Eligible  
are young post-doc researchers up to 3 years after receiving the  
degree (5 years in exceptional cases) and working beyond Poland.

The stay would be devoted to scientific cooperation in the following areas:
1. philosophical foundations of geometry and topology
2. point-free geometry and point-free topology
3. mereotopology and mereology
4. Boolean contact algebras
5. modal logic of space, with special emphasis on geometrical and  
topological semantics for modal logic
6. duality theory.

The main focus would be to work on open problems in the aforementioned  
areas. The closest call will be announced on the 3rd of September,  
applications must be submitted by the 2nd of October. In the case of  
the positive outcome, the project must be completed within 12 months  
of receiving the funding for its implementation.
