In a footnote taking a swipe at philosophers Bourbaki cites "the case of
an eminent academic who, in a lecture at Princeton in the presence of
Goedel is supposed to have said that nothing new had happened in logic
since Aristotle". Does anyone know the origin of this story, or who the
eminent academic is supposed to have been?
