[FOM] Kreiseliana: Kreisel's Doctorate

As I remember Kreisel never had an ordinary Ph.D.  In the UK
in those days, people often became recognized researchers
and academics without one.  In the vita in the book
“Kreiseliana” what is listed is: B.A. (1944), M.A. (1947),
and Sc.D. (1962).  The latter degree might just be
“cumulative recognition” by Trinity College, Cambridge.
He might even have applied for it for the benefit of the 
appointment at Stanford.  If it is important to determine
the facts, then Trinity College would probably reply to
an inquiry.
