I considered mentioning this in my previous message but I went instead 
with the Mellin transform of exp(-x) because logarithmic convexity did not 
seem to me to be "fundamental."

Do you know (or does anyone else know) if we get other examples if, in the 
Bohr-Mollerup theorem, "logarithmic convexity" is weakened to "convexity"?
