SECOND CALL FOR PAPERS
4TH SOUTH AFRICAN PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE COLLOQUIUM
ORGANISED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY, UNIVERSITY OF PRETORIA
15-16 JANUARY 2015

Papers are invited for the 4th South African Philosophy of Science Colloquium.
There is a slight change in format from previous colloquia in the sense that the colloquium in 2015 will run over two days. The first day will cover philosophy of science contributions, and the second day will cover contributions in formal logic. Note that the colloquium will commence the day after the annual Philosophical Society of Southern Africa Conference which runs from 12-14 January 2015 in Port Elizabeth, so delegates could attend both events.

Details of abstracts:
• Papers can cover any theme in general philosophy of science or logic
• Abstracts (750-1000 words) should reach Emma Ruttkamp-Bloem (emma.ruttkamp-bloem at up.ac.za<mailto:emma.ruttkamp-bloem at up.ac.za>) on or before 30 November 2014
• There will be 30-40 minute slots, depending on the number of papers selected
• There are only 10 slots per day available
Venue & Fee

  * The venue is the Centre for the Advancement of Scholarship, Old College House, on the Hatfield Campus of the University of Pretoria in Pretoria.
  * The colloquium fee of R400 will cover printing of programmes and coffee/tea in mornings and afternoons as well as lunches – dinner is for your own account!
General

  * Accommodation is participants’ own responsibility (details of hotels and guest houses within walking distance of the campus will be given in the final CFP).
  * For reasons of space and catering non-participants must also please inform us (emma.ruttkamp-bloem at up.ac.za<mailto:emma.ruttkamp-bloem at up.ac.za>) of their intention to attend and must also pay the conference fee.
