[FOM] Is there a book on the history of constructive thinking?

I am interested in tracing constructive thinking from the Greeks forward. I
believe that Menaechmus was the first to propose that constructions were as
interesting as proofs. My intent is to see how "computational thinking"
popularized by Jeanette Wing fits in.
