[FOM] Shelah/classification of AEC

Hi those familiar with Shelah's two volume book on
Classification of Abstract Elementary Clasess.
In the first volume, last line of page 383
 it is a mystery for me how can exist
 Aleph_epsilon between
 Aleph_0 and Aleph_1 and also
 0<epsilon<1.
 What is meant by this?
