CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
2005 SPRING MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR SYMBOLIC LOGIC

San Francisco, March 23-27, 2005
held jointly with the Pacific Division Meeting of the APA

Deadline for submission of abstracts: December 10, 2004

The 2005 ASL Spring Meeting of the ASL will be held March 23-27, 2005 in
San Francisco, in conjunction with the Meeting of the Pacific Division
of the American Philosophical Association, and immediately following the
2005 Annual Meeting, which will take place March 19-22, 2005 at Stanford
University.

The program committee consists of Andrew Arana (Kansas State
University), Anthony Gillies (University of Michigan), Shaughan Lavine
(Chair, University of Arizona), and Richard Zach (University of
Calgary).

The ASL Meeting program will include two special sessions, as well as
contributed paper sessions.  The special session on "Revising Beliefs
about Game Theory: Strategies for Rational Choice" is chaired by Anthony
Gillies, and will include papers by Robert Stalnaker (MIT), Rohit Parikh
(Brooklyn College and CUNY Graduate Center), and Johan van Benthem,
(University of Amsterdam and Stanford University).  The special session
on "Logic Instruction and Philosophy Graduate Training" is co-chaired by
Andrew Arana and Richard Zach, and will feature a panel discussion with
Michael Glanzberg (University of California, Davis), Delia Graff
(Cornell University), and Ted Sider (Rutgers).

Please submit abstracts of contributed talks by the deadline of
*December 10, 2004*, to the ASL Business Office: ASL, Box 742, Vassar

submitted by ASL members will be published in The Bulletin of Symbolic
