I wonder if the Basri's deductive theory of space and time would be considered as an attempt at foundational thinking in physics. The treatment is axiomatic, but perhaps more is need to classify it as foundational thinking. I also wonder what might be said about Vadarajon's lattice based work for quantum mechanics.
