FOM: about trascendental numbers

Can be deduced from the amplitude of the standard real numbers i.e.
the existence of a wide number of non definable numbers, some incapability
in finding a necessary condition for the trascendency of a number in
terms of it's rational approximations?
I'm not asking for a proved result but for a personal opinion about the
matter.
