Following the discussion of the problems of the study of f.o.m., the
common confusion with mathematical logic, and the gap between much
philosophy of mathematics and genuine f.o.m, I'd like to draw people's
attention to one attempt to bridge the gap between mathematics and
philosophy. This is the Arche Project "Logical and Metaphysical
Foundations of Classical Mathematics", see
http://www.st-and.ac.uk/~arche/ahrb.shtml
The project is broadly neo-Fregean, and encompasses both philosophical and
technical aspects.
Some on the list may be aware of this work; others may not. While there
are no papers available on the Arche website, there are some concise
statements of the research problem, and links to the researchers involved.
Best
Stephen
