Why shouldn't we ask this question? If we believe there is a fixed finite
number of electrons in the universe, surely that number has a parity. It's
OK to ask meaningful questions that we have no conceivable way to answer.
Who knows, for that matter, whether some physics of the future will deal
with such things?
