Logic and Philosophy of Science at UC Irvine expects a limited amount of
funding to support or help support a visiting scholar for one or two
quarters of 2000-2001. (The purview of LPS includes general philosophy of
science; philosophy of the particular sciences; logic, philosophy, and
foundations of mathematics; the role of mathematics in application. For more
