Reference to the "rule" being followed by the community can be treated as
a facon de parler in order to set up the problem as the Kripkean meaning
skeptic sees it. But when Kripke himself calls the alternative interpretations
(rules) such as that for quaddition "bizarre", "crazy" and "insane", one is
left wondering whether one might not help oneself to "the" rule followed by
the community.
