San Diego Man Charged with Distribution of Ecstasy
Resulting in Death
Seven Month investigation concluded
JUN 1 7 --  (San Diego) Ralph W. Partridge, Special Agent in Charge DEA San Diego, and United States Attorney Laura E. Duffy, Southern District of California announced today a five-count indictment charging Marvin Bada, (23) Rancho Bernardo, CA, with distribution of ecstasy with death resulting and distribution of ecstasy. Bada was arrested on June 15, 2010, by agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the San Diego Police Department. The charges stem from a seven-month-long investigation.
According to the indictment, on April 17, 2009, Bada allegedly sold a lethal amount of ecstasy to a 
21-year-old woman from the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood in San Diego, California. The indictment 
charges that the woman died on April 21, 2009, from ingesting the methylenedioxymethamphetamine 
(ecstasy) that Bada had distributed to her.
The indictment further charges Bada, in counts 2-5, with distributing ecstasy on November 9, 2009 
(approximately 100 tablets); on November 16, 2009 (approximately 102 tablets); on February 16, 2010
 (approximately 100 tablets), and on April 22, 2010 (approximately 100 tablets).
