Texas Man Sentenced after Pleading Guilty to Heroin Charges
NOV 15 ( NEW ORLEANS )  -  Norberto Lazaro Delagarza IV , 24, resident of Laredo, Texas, was sentenced today by U. S. District Court Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle to 84 months imprisonment. In addition to term of imprisonment, Judge Lemelle imposed five years of supervised release following the term of imprisonment, during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risks an additional term of imprisonment should he violate any terms of his supervised release.

pled guilty on August 8, 2012, to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin.
The prosecution of
 Delagarza
followed an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Louisiana State Police in which
 Delagarza
was
identified as a distributor of heroin. Delagarza was transporting heroin from Texas to Philadelphia via an Amtrak train.
The investigation was conducted by special agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Louisiana State Police. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Andr Jones.
