Alfred A. Shasha died at the age of ... in ... A graduate of the Wharton school and the London School of Economics, he founded his business in 1946 after being discharged from the US Army having served in the Pacific. The business began in trading in raw wool and then later developed into processing in South Carolina. Mr. Shasha is survived by his sister Rae and two brothers Jim and Frank as well as his wife Hanina, three children Carol, Robert, and Dennis and his eight grandchildren. A philanthropist to the schools of his children and his grandchildren, the Jewish museum, and the Babylonian Jewish Heritage center, ISEF, the American Sephardic Federation, he has shown a lifelong commitment to peace and education. She loved design especially the geometric designs she saw as a child in Egypt. Mrs. Shasha is survived by her brothers Selim and Ezra, her husband Alfred, three children Carol, Robert, and Dennis and her eight grandchildren.
