Hi Dennis Please could you ensure that when the area editors for IS send their articles via e-submission they only send it to the e-submission address (e-submission@elsevier.com), and not to myself. Please also ensure that the relevant metadata is used (see requirements attached). Thanks ! Ali Seedhouse Issue Manager Elsevier Science Ltd Exeter EX1 2AH, UK Tel: +44 (0)1392 285832 (Direct line) Please check our website at http://authors.elsevier.com/ for manuscript and reprint status inquiries. You may also e-mail our Author Support Department to acquire manuscript and offprint status at authorsupport@elsevier.com > <> We have now set-up an e-mail address for the Editors to submit accepted articles, e-submission@elsevier.com Please note the following requirements for this new workflow: - We require the files to be sent as attachments to the above email address, the main message must contain the metadata listed below. This is important because we will not open the article files in-house, but we still need this information to register the article in the tracking system. We will print out the metadata message, key the information into PTS and forward the article files to the supplier. If the supplier has trouble using the e-files they will use the feedback loop through the Login department. Login will contact the editor if necessary. Please also ensure the Journal name is present in the subject field ("RCM"). More specific instructions: The editor should email the accepted articles to Production as attachments. Files of each accepted article should be zipped. The zip file should be named according to the Editorial Office name/number of the accepted article (12345.zip), and contain: * Final and accepted file of article * (La)TeX style sheet if appropriate * Loose figure files (can be embedded only in a LaTeX file) * Postscript version of accepted article when present Regarding metadata, the email message should contain details of: * Title of article * Authors' names * Corresponding author * Corresponding author's address * Editor's number * Date of receipt * Date of last revision * Date of acceptance * Number of pages hardcopy * Number of Figures * Specify colour figures (ANY COLOUR NOT MENTIONED HERE WILL BE REPRODUCED BLACK AND WHITE) * Specific remarks concerning the article (e.g. Special Issue, "Notes" article) * PIT - Publication Item Types (Book review, Research Note, Editorial, Review articles and so on) Please let me know if you require any further information on this. Kind regards
