A Revised Template Description for Time (v3)

2 Temporal Connectives

We will refer to a temporal connective as an expression which relates an event to a point or an interval in time. Let us assume two relations, cul (culminate) and init (initial) defined over intervals, giving the leftmost and rightmost subintervals of the larger interval. The expressions in Tipsterese are listed in the table below in the leftmost column, along with the expressions in English which correspond to this predicate. The rightmost column indicates the type of the complement selected by the English lexical item. In the expressions, i and t are intervals and e is an event variable.
