Baltimore Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Cocaine Trafficking

 BALTIMORE, Maryland - Special Agent in Charge Ava Cooper-Davis of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein, - Washington Field Division; and Baltimore Police Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld III announced the sentencing of Keyone Green, age 27, of Baltimore, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute cocaine by U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Blake
"Mr. Green knew hisdrug dealing days were coming to an endas the DEAarrested him," stated Ava Cooper-Davis, Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration."The sentence Mr.Green received was appropriate and sends a very strong message thatif you continue to peddle drugs,DEAwill catch you," added Cooper-Davis.
According to Green's guilty plea, on August 13, 2009, an undercover DEA agent arranged withGreen to meet at a restaurant on Reisterstown Road in Baltimore in order to purchase 4.5 ounces of cocaine base. The undercover agent had purchased cocaine from Green on two previous occasions. At the prearranged meeting, DEA agents saw Green get into the undercover agent's car where Green sold 4.5 ounces of cocaine to the agent for $4,500. They discussed Green supplying the agent with 1/4 to  kilograms of cocaine and Green said he would contact the agent later with price information.
On September 16, 2009, Green met with the DEA undercover agent to sell cocaine again. However, before the meeting occurred law enforcement agents arrested Green, who was found to possess the cocaine Green had intended to sell to the agent.
