Louisville Couple Indicted for Steroid Distribution

LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment against 
Jamesy Havens , age 32, and his wife, 
Crystal Knuckles , age 21, both of 7930 Grand Cascade Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, on charges of conspiring to distribute anabolic steroids, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
The Indictment alleges that between January 1, 2007, and May 28, 2008, Havens and Knuckles conspired with others to distribute anabolic steroids throughout the Louisville metro area.
In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 5 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of no less than 2 years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Weiser, and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Food and Drug Administration.
Both defendants are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on July 22, 2008, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.
