Assignment 5

The next four assignment will lead to the creation of your own personal website at:

http://pages.nyu.edu/~username

(where username is your UNIX account name). Assignment #5 will just set up your web page for the first time. Assignment #6 will be an exercise in creating raw HTML, setting up your web account, and updating it using Fetch. In Assignment #7, you will use PageMill to create an elaborate site centered around a particular theme, and in Assignment #8 you will add animation to your site with Macromedia Director and Shockwave. More about these assignments will be posted later.

Set up your web page for the first time by Telnetting into your UNIX account.
Choose choice #6 - "Pages".
Then Select Choice #1"Create/Delete" on the submenu, and answer "yes" to all of the questions.
Only do this once, since the second time it will delete your web page

Check to see if your web page is there having Netscape look at:

http://pages.nyu.edu/~username

Submit your assignment by emailing a notice to the email address for grading:

 pap_hull@cs.nyu.edu

Make certan that you include your full name and the URL of your home page in your message, because, among other things, this information will be used to generate a page of links to all of the student pages for this class.
