CSCI-UA.0004 - Summer 2016
Assignment 5
Due: Friday, July 29
PART ONE
It's not too late to start campaigning for President in 2016!
In this assignment,
you are to create an animated gif which is a banner ad in support of yourself as President. The ad
can be either serious or humorous. Just use your imagination. Somewhere in
the ad there should be a photo or drawing of you and somewhere your name should
appear.
The ad is to be an animated gif that is in standard banner format, i.e.,
468 x 60 pixels. Create your example using Adobe PhotoShop.
Use at least two of the tweens built into Photoshop, and also rotate (or transform) part of your image by using multiple layers.
Your animation should consist of at least 20 frames (but you are certainly not limited to that!). (Note: If an object moves from one side of the screen to the other ... as the result of a tween by position using two key-frames ... that "counts" as two frames, not the full number in the tween!)
There should be a sound playing in the background when the page opens. (See this page for details on adding sound).
Please note that you will be rewarded for doing exceptional, creative and excellent work in this assignment by receiving extra credit!
Here is a modest example using some fictional TV and Movie Presidents:
Post your .GIF file as part of an .HTML file and link it to your web site. Also, link the original .PSD file from that page. Also, zip both the .gif and .psd files and post them on "NYU Classes".
