Summer Session II
Due: Monday, July 14th
Your program will be able to tell an NYU student whether s/he will have the
day off for any given day during the academic year 2003-2004. These are the
following NYU Holidays that you should account for during the Academic year
- 9/1 Labor Day
- 11/27- Thurs. - Sat. November 27 - 29 Thanksgiving
- Winter recess December 20 - Jan. 17
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 01/19
- Presidents' Day: February 16
- Spring recess Mon. - Sat. March 15 - 20
- Memorial Day: May 31
- Independence Day: July 5
- August 7 - August 31: summer recess
Here is how it should work: The student should be prompted to enter an integer
for the month and an integer for the day in question. (For example, entering
"2" for the month and "14" for the day would represent February
Hint: The program should check to be sure that the month and date that the
student enters are valid for the academic year 2003-2004. For example, February
30th is not a valid entry.
Another Hint: Some NYU vacations stretch out over multiple days.
