Assignment 3
Due: Thursday, March 12th

For this assignment, you are to create a Photoshop image WITH layers, and post the final Photoshop image in 'Zipped' or 'Stuffit' format on your web page.

This Photoshop image should be in preparation for making an animated gif, which should also appear on your page. The gif file should be an animated version of the NYU Torch. A very simple example might be:

Pay particular attention to the edges of the torch, and make certain that they have been nicely "aliased" for your background.

You should create an animated GIF file of at least 12 images (although certainly not limited to 12!). You may make your torch do anything you wish: It could be a simple, business-like flicker of the flame; it could be a title or slogan that sprouts out of the torch; or it could be a Monty-Pythonesque flight of fancy. Anything is OK, as long as it is done "elegantly" and with some imagination.

Extra credit will be given for particular spectacular examples.

Load your pages up to the ACF5 server using the FTP client of your choice (Fetch, etc.) So that you do not have to destroy the look of your ACF5 Home Page, this assignment will use the following naming scheme for the first page:

Thus, the URL for looking at your page (presuming that you have User ID "abc1234") would be:
