Student Advisement
Advisor Approval
All non-degree and Master's Computer Science and Information Systems students need advisor approval before they can register for courses. Advisor approval will begin approximately six weeks before registration is to begin. Communication from the department will be sent out to students each semester with instructions on how to receive advisor approval.
Students with a last name that begins with the letter A-M have Betty Tsang, btsang@cs.nyu.edu , as their advisor. Students with a last name that begins with N-Z have Cristina Domingo, cdomingo@cs.nyu.edu , as their advisor. Students should be sure to review the course schedule for the upcoming semester so they have an idea of courses they are interested in taking.
Please note that students are not required to to receive advisor approval for the summer semester. If you wish to register for a summer course, you can e-mail your advisor and request that your advisor approval hold be removed. Of course, if you would like to meet with your advisor to discuss your progress and plans, that is fine. In that case, e-mail your advisor to request a meeting.
