Course Computer Account
Basic Algorithms, Fall 99, Yap

The official computing environment for this course is the UNIX system.

For this purpose, you should immediately obtain a class account on the unix machine ``OMICRON''.

You can apply for an account from Robin Simon, whose office is Warren Weaver Hall, Room 404 (next to the department office).

About OMICRON accounts: this machine is run by the Computer Science department, as opposed to your ACF accounts. If you have an ACF account (like acf5) which supports unix, you can also do most of the course work there.

We will try (in as much as possible) to accomodate those who prefers to use Microsoft Windows operating system.
