Jihun Yu

I am currently a fourth year Ph.D student in the Department of Computer Science of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Science at New York University. I am a member of the Exact Geometry Compuation Group. My research advisor is Chee K. Yap. I also collaborate with Greg Turk at Georgia Institute of Technology.

I received my B.S. in Physics from Seoul National University in 2005. My thesis with Kwang-sup Soh was on design of optical device for concentrating human bio-photon.

My research interests are in Physics-Based Animation for Computer Graphics. Currently, I focus on Particle-Based Fluid Animation; in particular, adaptive sampling algorithms, surface reconstruction methods and surface tension models.
