Synopsis:

We will be discussing a robust direct and inverse algorithms to solve a real life industrial problem in the non-destructive testing context. The method we use relies on a 3D finite element distretization of the vectorial eddy-current approximation of Maxwell's equations in time harmonic low frequency regime. Based on Electrical impedance signals we develop a shape optimization algorithm that aims at identifying the deposits in the shell side of the tube support plates in a steam generator.
