Note on different nomenclature.
What I called the range of a function, the
book calls the co-domain.  What I called the
image, the book calls the range.  Sorry for the confusion,
but these were the terms that I was taught in college,
and they became reflexes for me.   Use whatever terms
you like, as long as you are clear about what you mean.
